I’m very honored by all the wonderful people I’ve worked with. They are what makes a great team and drive me to never give up. Here are some quotes from references or recommendations I’ve received and I’d be happy to connect you with anyone I’ve worked with!
I witnessed the tremendous care that Derek exhibits every day in both his work and in the way he treats and supports all those around him.
Professionalism in both the way he acts, the way he treats others, and the impressive quality of the work he completes.
An ability to mentor others by organizing and simplifying complex concepts as well as by helping them to build confidence in themselves.
His forward-thinking nature and pursuit of excellence were demonstrated in the results shared with the organization, and were hallmarks of his value to the team and to the organization overall.
Derek’s abilities to work through the details and create comprehensive and effective communication were also among Derek’s strengths. He was often the one selected to create or lead the presentation of research findings and implications to senior leadership because of his ability to do that with clarity and insight.
Derek has a passion for personal authentic growth in himself and others that I believe to be essential for an effective, authentic leader of a team. His ability for empathy, understanding, and moving people to align around a purpose bring a unique combination that will benefit his team and the culture of the organization around him.
Derek is a true innovator, always bringing fresh ideas to the table and inspiring those above and below him to think creatively.
He not only enhanced my engineering knowledge but also demonstrated what exemplary leadership looks like and fostered leadership skills in myself. His ability to see the big picture and communicate it with the team improved our designs and deliverables. Derek championed tools and workflows to improve efficiency, quality, and communication. His ability to lead his team with a well-rounded approach was invaluable to my career development.
I loved being a part of Derek’s project team. He always
made me feel appreciated and respected. He gave me every opportunity to lead when I had the ability, but was always there to help when I needed support.
